Hello everyone!

Here I am! Where has the time gone!? What a wild and stupendous ride I have been on! I have been working on an incredibly fulfilling and very productive project that I just closed the chapter on. The gifts that I received from this project were so unexpected and rich beyond my dreams. I  stepped into a place where I was able to truly live in the heart of what I am passionate about!

How did this happen? I said YES—without trying to figure it all out!  Hooray for me!

This brings me to what I want to write about today……I’d like to start with this piece.

I would like to beg you, as well as I can, to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language.

Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them.

And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.”

~ Rainer Maria Rilke (1875-1926)
From: Letters to a Young Poet

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm….how great is that????

Sometimes we can dwell on questions about the lack of something in our lives. i.e. “Why haven’t I attained my goal yet? Why can’t I ever do it right? Why didn’t he/she call me? Why are they doing that to me? Why… why, why? Or my favorite which is ……as soon as I figure this out…….

‘Why’ questions can cause harm to our psyche because the thinking mind can so easily pipes up with a negative answer…like…..

—-Why? —Because you waited too long . Because you had a bad childhood. Because you are not lovable.  BLAHHHH—Because you don’t deserve it. Because you are not capable enough… not smart enough, BLAHHHHH—-not good looking enough.Because they don’t love you, respect you, understand
you. etc. etc. etc. BLAHHHHHHHHHH…BLAHHHHHHHHHHH

Like Rilke says, we can learn to love the questions and not force an answer that we cannot know at the time.

We can also learn to replace ‘why’ questions with ‘how’ questions that feel better and do not make us feel pretty darn yucky i.e. How can I be more gentle with myself? How can I relax and enjoy the day to day journey more? How can I be the grand and glorious person I know I am supposed to be? How can I be more loving? How can I be open to more love in my life? How can I have more fun?

‘How’ is a much more empowering question. Asking how instead of why, stifles that inner critic, our ‘damning’ voice, and allows the inner guide and our creativity to come up instead! WOOHOO!

YUP!  That’s is what I did–when this unexpected , seemingly overwhelming opportunity came up—- many miles away—I just said YES—-and then lived in the “how” every day. It was an exhilarating experience that opened the door for me to live in the gifts, talents and abilities I have—and grow and evolve even more! How cool is that??? IT WAS FUN!!

What can you say YES to today and then live in the HOW?

Trust me, you will be so amazed at HOW it happens!

I am thrilled to be writing to you again—SO enriched by my unexpected gift!
